Måla och relativ fuktighet
Har sett att det på en hel del färg står ett intervall på relativ fuktighet mellan 40-80% (bl.a. Nordsjös silikatfärg som jag ska måla med). Det kan väl knappast vara så att folk inte målar inomhus på vinterhalvåret när RF ofta är lägre än 40%? Läser jag informationen för noga? Vad kan det bli för problem?
Hittade detta på engelska om varför man inte ska måla när det är för torrt:
"If during application the air in contact with the product is too dry, the paint cures too quickly, and loses fluidity. Cracks and other damage may occur on the painted surface (checking), and the substrate loses gloss. More paint will also be needed to cover the same surface, meaning an increase in production costs. Moreover, if relative humidity is kept steadily below 35-40%, the paint can readily become electrostatically charged, facilitating the deposit of “foreign” particles (dust, oil, etc.) suspended in the air. This phenomenon can cause craters or bubbles (referred to as fisheyes), which are not noticeable during the coating process, but only after the paint has cured."

Späder färgen med lite vatten?
Och målaren med tequila?
Det går ju att få upp luftfuktigheten i ett rum tämligen lätt. Häng upp några blöta handdukar tex.

Koka En stor kastrull vatten och ställ nära området du ska måla.
Fick tipset av en målare när vi skulle måla ett innertak att höja fuktigheten i rummet med tex kokande vatten i kastruller eller motsv så skulle det minska risken att se spår efter rollern

Nordsjö sa att det var främst för att minska risken för ränder som det inte bör vara för låg RF (svårt att hinna med att måla vått i vått). Nu är det färdigmålat sedan länge och så jag gjorde var att jag sänkte temperaturen och ställde ut hinkar med varmt vatten när jag målat färdigt. RF höll sig så då över den ”magiska” gränsen även under härdning. Men om det hade någon praktisk betydelse vet jag inte... Blöta handdukar, som Daniel 109 tipsar om, hade nog varit mer effektivt (mer blöt yta).
