Was at K-Rauta today and checked out the same product. According to the salesperson, it had gone up from 149kr to 599kr in a short time, which is a completely crazy price development
Sure, K-Rauta is usually expensive, but that's Insane! Insane as the Black Death. Quadruple the price :poop::thumbdown:

Iggesund has at least had wood dryers, even when the sawmill was located in Hudik they had dryers there as far as I recall. I believe they are still standing today, at least 10 years ago, the sawmill was moved to Iggesund much earlier.

The drying time is probably the same whether I have 7.5m3 as when Linghem has 75,000m3, however, it is space-consuming and capital-binding to have inventory.
The thing is that

The dryers are still standing on Håstaholmen. They seem to be set to be leveled and turned into housing there now. My crane within insulation has storage in one of them.

Dryers, I would think that all major sawmills have, only certain special dimensions are air-dried nowadays...
If they aren't regular dryers, then they're kilns

Certain dimensions are temporarily stored after drying

There is to some extent in the form of tariffs between countries/continents. They are there to protect the domestic market. Free trade agreements are not obviously beneficial for all countries.
Yes, these skyrocketing prices are really insane, in the USA it's even worse - saw this "telling" picture in a post!

19mm particle board 2500x1200 484kr at Derome.
I buy a particle board about every 5 years so I'm not really in the know about what it usually costs, but that must be expensive, right?
The other day I asked for the price of 6mm gypsum, "119kr." Was the answer. Two days later I went to buy a board, and it cost 128kr. Apparently, daily fluctuations even on gypsum.

Just went through the receipts I had in my wallet. In December, I bought 10 OSB boards at Byggmax for 149 SEK each. In July, I bought three more boards. Now the price was 349 SEK each...

If only I had known and made sure to stock up. Then I could have sold cheaply on Blocket and still made a substantial profit.

I had 10 boards left that I bought at Byggmax for about 120kr, sold them now for 250kr. Both the buyer and I were happy with the deal, so it felt good. Now I can get the car in the garage again too (y)

It's time to start selling off the leftover formplywood sheets I have in excess.
What does one need formplyfa for if you can't afford cement???

What do you think about the prices, will they drop in the near future or will it take years? I was planning to start constructing a building on the plot with OSB, but I choked on my coffee when I checked the prices online.

I've heard that cheap OSB and cement in small bags are sold at Sergels torg at night.

In Lkpg, 17mm raw-spont still costs under 120kr/m2, I don't see hatches as necessary unless you're paying wages to the carpenter and have time and proper shooting.
I can imagine buying intermediate painted raw-spont hatches to save time in the next step with otherwise priming, intermediate painting, and final coating of eaves and overhangs.

I'm wondering the same thing. I will receive a garage kit in a few weeks.
The original plan was to speed up in October and manage to install insulation, OSB, and drywall before winter. Now I'm hesitating when looking at the prices of OSB, so I'm considering just making it weather-tight and then waiting until next year to insulate.
I could possibly insulate and put up plastic and then take a break.
Does anyone know how insulation prices have developed?
I haven't been closely monitoring the prices for that.
