Hello!

Found this floor under the parquet in our hallway. The house is from 1964. It is not stone. Seems to crack relatively easily and is laid in tiles.

What material is it?

A dark floor made of square tiles with visible cracks, found underneath parquet in a 1964 house hallway. Hand lifting carpet to reveal dark, cracked tile flooring underneath, likely installed in a 1964 house hallway; visible wood trim and stairs.

Are you sure it's not wood?
I think it looks like formplywood, the type used for concrete casting with a coating/surface that is supposed to withstand moisture and prevent the concrete from sticking.

Isn't it linoleum mat?

It's tiles. And it's kind of a marble pattern... Can you see it in the pictures? It's both dirt and a marble pattern.

In the 60s, it was common to have PVC tiles in kitchens and halls, and they are a few mm thick and often glued with asbestos-containing black adhesive.

Feared it.. Is it vinyl-asbestos?

If it has jute fabric on the underside, it is linoleum. If it doesn't, then it might be, based on the 1963 edition of House and Garden, a Forshaga Colovinyl tile.

Forshaga Colovinyl tiles in three colors with product codes 354, 359, and 373. Descriptive text about PVC vinyl flooring below.
