Planning to demolish a concrete and gypsum wall in the kitchen, which means there will be a lot of mess on the floor. I need tips on good, yet affordable shop vacuums. Checked the Jula website etc., but their machines require vacuum bags! That won't do.

I need one that vacuums up and collects all the debris in a container that I can easily empty. I remember there was an intermediate connection between the regular vacuum? Like a metal drum that you connected the vacuum to. Then you sucked everything up with the other hose connected to the metal drum? Is there nothing similar, so I can avoid buying a whole shop vacuum. Prices vary, of course.

Grateful for ideas and tips.

Using the regular vacuum cleaner and a tin can will just result in buying a new vacuum cleaner afterwards. I don't think the wife would want it after that—gypsum dust gets into the motor and wears down the brushes, clogging everything. How long do you need it for? If it's quite quick, a week or so, rent a proper one with dual motors—it'll take almost everything off the floor. It's probably better, available at rental companies for construction, not department stores.

Ah assumed that, the whole filter and machine breaks yes. I'll just sweep up everything with a regular brush ;) don't feel like buying a machine for 2000kr just to get rid of all the junk. Thanks for the answer!

Yes, a regular home vacuum cleaner handles everything and doesn't break, except for plaster dust and sanding dust from filler, these are the death of the vacuum cleaner.
