Turn of the century: Brick arch - remove a "slice" at the edge?
Absolutely right, it is a solution - a neighbor has done the same. But we don't want to lose the welcoming view from the entrance to the living room/markedGammelnörden said:

I think it's sad when people violate old beautiful houses for something that feels pleasant for the moment.
What do you mean by that? What a boring comment. Should we remain in the turn of the century without a bathroom? Removing a piece of a wall, preserving the arch and the feeling in the entrance we think is the least intrusion on the feeling. We naturally want to maintain the turn-of-the-century feeling.T Thomas_Blekinge said:

Is the space inside the entrance door sufficient to enter with, for example, a full-sized stroller?
Have you tried marking out the walls and experiencing how it feels to step in towards a corner and a wall? Also, have you pretended to shower in the space you've designated for it and navigated your way around the wall to the shower?
The bathroom walls on your drawing appear unreasonably thin. Have you calculated how thick the walls will actually be when all materials are considered?
The crucial question; Have you gotten approval from the board to make these modifications? Especially when it comes to altering a load-bearing wall...
Thanks for the consideration! Yep, that’s why we’ve chosen a slanted wall in the bathroom - the entrance has double doors, allowing direct exit along the slanted bathroom wall, so there is more space than recommended for passage. Yep, and an engineer is now involved to sort out the possibilities. Thanks!Gammelnörden said:

If you were to be hindered in your plans, my suggestion is to make the bathroom "like the neighbors" with a door from the hallway featuring frosted/patterned glass, similar to those typically found in turn-of-the-century apartments leading to the kitchen or a serving corridor. Additionally, build in a fixed pattern-etched or patterned stained glass window (with thick flat glass on the inside) in the upper part of the doorway to the "dining room," in order to create a light line. 😊
edit
ps. Or a separate shower instead of a guest toilet, but you have probably already thought of that...ds.

Are you thinking that the double door and single door lead into the bathroom, or will they be "false doors"?
Having multiple doors to a bathroom is practical when you're home alone, but otherwise, it's a setup for awkward situations.
I also agree with what you wrote earlier that the corridor serves an important function in connecting the rooms. In particular, one might think that the gentry and guests shouldn't be in the pantry, but of course, today no one finds anything strange about it 😆
