Tongue and groove boards on render wall? Glue?
Hi,
I want to install raw wood paneling in my kitchen at home, I have plaster walls. I saw that there are ready-made panels that look like "real" raw wood, thin MDF "sheets" that you piece together. It actually seemed smart, but I'm afraid that one of my walls is too uneven and will have some gaps, better then with real raw wood boards.
Should these be glued with PL200? Nailing is not an option. My real question is whether the glue will hold, so the boards don't move and come off the wall. I suppose I'll have to use a lot of glue.

Mjo, maybe can use battens but want to avoid it, builds out too much, will also have paneling on the short sides above the kitchen counter. Maybe these ready-made boards that look like paneling instead.
I have plans to just put paneling on one wall, like a feature wall, then I can use studs. So maybe I'll even put paneling all the way up to the ceiling to get a cool effect, we'll see.
By the way, how does it work with electrical boxes and switches on the wall when you're building out with paneling quite a bit? Do you have to tinker with that somehow too?
