When I installed the thresholds at home, I first drilled holes for the screw through the parquet down to the particle board, then an 18mm (another size works just as well) through just the parquet.
This creates an expansion joint around the screw.

You can do that with regular mounting glue, but then the threshold will lock the floor against the door frame. It should not be an issue as long as the expansion gap is sufficiently large on the other side of the floor.
Don't you believe in making a fig under the threshold and then gluing the threshold Ibsen part that remains?
