Believe in the theory that different materials block different types of sound waves..

That is certainly the case, but then maybe insulation is a better option. I have insulated all the interior walls solely because of sound. Is there anything worse than hollow walls :)

Jo and I research in that area too, hehe. But when I ask about insulation, everyone answers "double gypsum," and when I research double material, people say "insulation."

*going crazy*

The goal is to have both mixed materials and insulation....

For the past 29 years, there have been empty walls with studs that aren't properly fixed and fiberboard panels that don't even reach all the way up to the ceiling or down to the floor... a few gaps here and there that they have papered over and covered with moldings.. so whatever I do should be better anyway.. :)

Run OSB + plasterboard. What is the problem???

Agree with OSB underneath and then 13mm drywall. Nothing to think about. Best combination of materials in terms of what you get for your money. However, you can just as well use 12mm chipboard and then 13mm drywall. OSB is probably a bit better, so I chose it as the price difference turned out to be marginal.

Then fill at least half of the gap with the cheapest insulation board you can find. If you build the walls with, for example, 70mm studs, you only need a 45mm board, for instance. You can also fill the wall with kutterspån if you can buy it cheaply nearby. Kutterspån does increase the risk that you have a tiny hole here and there, which means you'll get some debris sometimes.
