Hmm, well, I don't really understand all the threads where the gas stove is supposed to go out.
I would like to install one, but it becomes complicated.

Ask a chef what they think about induction!:crysmile::crysmile:
When Per Morberg was in the TV4 studio cooking, he said about the cooktop "what kind of crap is this, throw it out and get a real stove with gas"
Note that it is not an induction cooktop in a cooking show but a glass cooktop with halogen!
Haha yeah I know some people think that. I cook a lot but I'm not a chef. I really prefer induction over gas. I had gas for 7 years when I lived in California where it's standard, but I don't think it's as good. It's probably a matter of taste :)

Sure, you do as you please.
However, it requires that the power supply can handle it. Both for the apartment and for the entire building when everyone wants an electric stove.

Yes, it's a bit funny because I have a 60+ relative who had a gas stove when she was around 25 and when the induction stoves came 15 years ago (?) said: Finally, I can have a stove that is almost as quick to adjust as the gas stove.

You don't have to be a chef for that matter, besides the fact that it's quick to heat something up, I hate my stove, but maybe there are better things than Electrolux junk??
The worst is when you just want to have something on low heat, click whirr, click whirr, click whirr at 3-second intervals.

Old stove/top?
It's not like that on my 2-year-old stove from the Electrolux group.

Yes, exactly, it's an apartment. I got a response from a gas installer who also mentioned that it's possible the main pipe is there :( I guess I will need to keep a part of the wall then. So you don't think it's possible to turn off the gas just inside my place? Thanks :)
Yes, it is definitely possible to plug "your" gas line, which is preferably done as close to the connection to the main pipe as possible if you are going to remove the gas pipes anyway. However, it may not be possible to knock down walls just like that. I assume the stove is downward in the picture, but where does the pipe go upwards in the picture?
