Should be possible to treat it with Osmo hardwax oil

Then I'll bring life to this interesting thread now!

I was wondering how difficult it is for a layman to achieve a wall with a nice concrete look? Is it easier to use plaster and mix dark and light plaster to achieve a mottled surface, or should one try 'Beton Cire' or Tadelakt? What do you think is easiest?

It would be interesting to bring life to this thread again!

This is the closest I've come to concrete surface. The material is Clay stone and the photos were taken at Deco material in Uppsala. I haven't tried it myself yet but I will. I promise... :)

I don't think it's too difficult but you should probably try on a smaller area first.

Interesting! Feel free to share your experiences later and post some pictures. Pictures are always fun! :)

I also found some lime-based paint from Pure & Original. They have a paint that you can smooth out after applying it to the wall. I haven't quite decided which path to take yet!

Read somewhere about someone who simply just skim coated a wall, sanded and varnished/oiled it with excellent results. It looked very concrete-like. One advantage is to choose a gray filler :)

Otherwise, you can always use gypsum plaster. I have a bag of weber (I think) where it is gray instead of white. It creates a really nice surface and is very easy to apply.
