Since I was sunbathing anyway, I thought I'd tap a bit on the Russian's side... But whether the stairs will work depends on the floor structure.

What a wonderful view! And thank you so much for the calculation and testing!

Stretched out, sitting, drawing stairs all day.
Didn't think they could be a virus when I added the link
tested it and it works quite well

A good alternative is to get quotes from staircase manufacturers. Most usually include a "sketch"
Find good ones both foreign and Swedish

Spiral staircase with a lower section turn, featuring metal railing and wooden steps, in a modern interior with artworks and sculptures on display. Borrowing the thread for a question about the spartrappan byggera style. As you can see in the picture, this staircase has the turn at the lower part of the staircase. I would need the turn on the upper part of the staircase. Do you think it would be possible to mount the staircase that way? Thank you in advance.

No, the handrail cannot be bent. Moreover, that staircase is probably not approved for new builds as the handrail starts too high up.

But what if you place the handrail at the beginning of the stairs? There is also a shorter handrail that you can buy and install in the actual curve at the top.

I don't think it seems particularly safe. But by all means, check with the manufacturer.

Please consider the future, if an accident happens and paramedics need to retrieve someone upstairs with the stretcher.

I understand your point. However, due to space constraints, we can't have a very large staircase. And today it's just a "stege" so this would be an improvement. The question still remains whether we can mount the turn at the upper part instead of the lower part. But I'll try calling the supplier and see what they say.

Judging by the picture, it seems possible to twist it any which way. The supplier knows!

That's not a staircase, it's a designed ladder! ;)

Hahaha yes but it's nicer than the "ladder" we have today.
