Regarding anchoring in the ground, I've thought a bit about belt and suspenders. I plan to dig down a beam made of 4 pieces of 45*195 timbers that is as long as the tent is wide, which will be placed across the boat and on which the keel will rest during the winter. I plan to attach sturdy eye bolts to this beam so that I can use ratchet straps to secure the tent to the beam. In each corner, I plan to dig down and cast "chunks" with threaded rod. I'll then bolt the threaded rod to the sill to which the entire tent is attached.

Does anyone have any additional suggestions?

We lift the boats using a Sublift, so there is no problem getting the boat into the tent. As long as the hole in the tent is at least 4.5m wide.

Three-hinged frames are indeed an efficient way to create buildings with both height and span! A bit of fiddling with bending the boards, though.

No soaking needed, the boards are bent in the jig and screwed together while tensioned. Holds the shape.

I thought that's what the oil drum was used for. All the better.
