Regular sand becomes very dry and almost has to be wetted to be shaped.
Think about how it is on the beaches when you were little

What is called leksand or moldable sand etc can also be found at the gravel pit. Just ask for the best possible sand for the children's sandbox. Our gravel pit had a specially mixed sand for sandboxes that is perfect for molding shapes.

Here, we pay 100 SEK per trailer or 200 SEK per tractor trailer regardless of the material, so just ask to get the right one.

It turned out well in the end.
Just need to add more sand.
It was "murarsand" or whatever it's called, and it seems to be about 3 tons. That'll be a few wheelbarrows.
(Especially if I use the pink one )

Bought allox rådsjursnät in plastic as protection against cats and screwed it in at one end of the sandbox, and screwed a plank at the other end as a "counterweight".
Works well!

Yes, maybe that's how it was.
I ordered sandbox sand, and it was just what was recommended (or available) at the local gravel pit.
It seems to work fine!
