Reasonable price for calculating lintel for a load-bearing wall
M Maestrono said:
It's about the wall marked in red, to remove it entirely or partially to open up a bit between the kitchen and living room. (straight kitchen)M Maestrono said:
Possibly also parts of the other wall, blue marking to get additional space for a potential L-shaped kitchen.
Internal drawing 1:50
External/elevation 1:100
Is there anything that can be said with certainty just by looking at these drawings?

Unfortunately, you can't say much with the help of these drawings. You need to know more about how the house is built. Type of roof trusses, type of floor structure, etc. The best thing is if there is a technical description. The year of construction is always an important detail.
Thanks for the help!J justusandersson said:
A technical description seems tricky to obtain; this is all I've managed to get from the building permit archive. The construction year is 1976.
What is the alternative, get a structural engineer to check on site?

Yes, without good drawings and descriptions, a competent person must see the house on-site. Some inspections you can do yourself, for example, go up to the attic and take photos of the roof trusses. You should also be able to find out what the floors are made of, wood or concrete. If it's wood, you can do further inspections to find out the direction of the floor joists. Then you can ask your neighbor if she/he has any drawings.
Hi, we had the same query but in Gothenburg a year ago and got in touch with the company Villcon, which I can highly recommend, they were both quick and efficient! As I understood, they work across Sweden, so it might work for you too?C Cookiiee said:

Hello,
I live in the southern suburbs of Stockholm and want to create a door opening between the kitchen and living room in a "semi-load-bearing"/load-bearing wall (in an apartment). I wonder if anyone has experience with a similar project and can recommend either a general contractor or a designer, hole maker, and inspector?
Thanks in advance
Martin

I took down a load-bearing wall a couple of years ago and got in touch with a consultant who did all the calculations and arranged drawings at a good price. This is in northwestern Skåne. But handled everything via email, smooth and easy.
Oh, thank you so much for the quick response! Would you mind sending contact details?RoHa72 said:
Hello!
Great that this thread has been active for almost 4 years, I have read through it and live in Malmö and would need exactly the help with contact that others describe regarding building engineer and KA, preferably tips on contractors who do this for a reasonable price as well.
Grateful for all the tips!
