Hey!
I'm in the process of renovating my kitchen and needed to take down a masonite board to run new electrical lines. Now I need to replace that board, but unfortunately, masonite boards in 9 mm are not made anymore. What might be the best alternative?
9mm plywood is available, but is it okay to use as a wall panel?
Another option is a 3mm masonite board together with 6mm plasterboard. However, the question is whether it's strong enough?
Nothing needs to hang on that wall, but it's still about 1.5m wide.

I believe in that if you glue the boards together with PVA before putting them up. Like spreading the glue over the surface.O owaysis said:
Spackling on plywood? Does this really work over time when the wood moves with the seasons' varying relative humidity?
I have entire walls in double plywood in my house (it has been a school...), and have not seen any issues with putty there.Claes Sörmland said:
Edit: Disclaimer here: This is my experience, and walls that are decades old. I don't know if it is universally applicable.
