The garage roof is leaking!
Today, it has a flat roof with a parapet around it. The walls seem to be constructed from the inside out as follows:
drywall, plastic, 70mm insulated frame, plastic again, and lap siding nailed directly to the frame.

From the inside, the roof seems to be: drywall, plastic, furring strips, roof truss (beams 45x195, cc 45, tongue and groove sheathing, and roofing felt

I need to fix the roof and of course want to replace the siding at the same time. Thinking of using the existing frame.

What changes do I need to make to the existing wall construction and roof structure?

Air gaps, battens, wind protection, installation layers, etc., add up...

Need a simple construction/build on the existing frame/roof

(Also thinking about "pumping" up the roof and trying to insert a wall plate on the existing wall plate to raise the roof height about 95-100 mm. Risks?)

  • Wooden garage with flat roof and large black door, showing wear and a nearby vehicle charger, under a blue sky with scattered clouds.
  • Exterior view of a garage with wooden siding, a flat roof, and a ladder attached to the wall. A partially covered workbench is visible in the foreground.
  • Damaged garage ceiling with exposed insulation and wooden beams, showing structural issues and water leakage through broken plaster and plastic.
