Dismantled the chimney in preparation for raising the roof. The chimney needs renovation and rebuilding higher. Not many bricks were firmly in place; it was basically a matter of taking them down by hand. Plan to take down a few more courses tomorrow. I have new chimney hole bricks at home for the reconstruction. I will install an insert pipe at a later stage. Wondering if I should get hydraulic lime mortar or use the plaster and mortar c that I have at home for the lecawall plastering?
