I'm planning to use metal roofing that looks like tiles. How closely do the rafters need to be spaced for the roof?
I was thinking of using 45x175 beams extending from the house. Should they be spaced 60cm apart or can I space them farther? They will only be 2 meters long and, for example, my parents have a deck that is 4 meters long and it was built with 45x120, I noticed. So maybe I can go down to 45x120?
How does metal roofing work? Do I need to place horizontal beams on these 45x120 as well?
Surely, these are stupid questions, but I have to ask to find out.
