Plug come loose from drywall, how to reattach?
But maybe not when it's an odd size that they don't stock. To be able to buy 2 machine screws for a few kronor when the store is forced to order a whole box that then will likely take decades for them to sell off, might be a bit much to ask. Even from a "real" hardware store.Nerre said:
The thread may have gone off topic, but for fun, I checked the Sifvert catalog (a very well-stocked screw shop in Sth). And they actually only had up to 100mm M6 with a screw head.
But as the original poster has already concluded, the Molly should be expanded before you screw on what is to be mounted. It's best to use a Molly tool so you don't risk it starting to spin in the hole.

Mmm. Sifvert Skruv! It's probably the store I miss the most since I moved away from Stockholm. Maybe I should take the train to the capital one day just to buy a single screw of an odd dimension...Larsa said:The thread might have gone off topic, but for fun, I checked Sifverts catalog (a very well-stocked screw shop in Sth). But as the OP has already found out. The Molly should be expanded before you screw in what you want to mount. It's best to use a Molly plier so you don't risk it starting to spin in the hole.

But what is available as standard lengths in M6 that was the most important question!SBH said:
Because if it's not available as standard, no hardware store will have them either, no matter how good and well-stocked they are. And was it really screws with a regular screw head you got?
I also checked Sifverts and if they don't have the screw, no hardware store does either. I'm almost 100% sure of that............because they probably have every possible and impossible screw that can be found.

But you thought that one should go to a "real hardware store" and claimed that such screws exist. Custom manufacturing screws is likely to cost more than it's worth, and it hardly seems like sensible advice to give here on the forum....or?SBH said:
