Plug come loose from drywall, how to reattach?
As mentioned, it's now a 10 mm hole and I want to screw in a small shelf. No heavy weights, but how do I do it?
Tried with drywall anchors but they just spin around and the hollow wall anchor's screw is too short to reach.
Any good solution?
Considered drywall compound and then drywall anchors again.

Plaster expander then?
Too short screw with expanded molly? It's usually M-thread on them, so you should be able to find a screw, right? Have you used pliers for the molly?
Otherwise, I would have tried cleaning the hole of loose drywall, vacuuming it. Put in a molly with PL400 on the wings and squeeze it with a molly plier. Wait until it has dried and buy a longer screw (if necessary).

It's because the screw has to go through the wood, which means it doesn't reach the thread in the molly/gypsum expander/hollow wall plug. I searched online but no one sold longer than 90mm. The wife brought home a gängstång but I'm not sure how nice it will look. I thought you guys here on the forum might have some clever solutions.SBH said:

from 16mm to 150mm
surely you have expanded the cavity plug? because wasn't it metal molly?
