Hello!
We are renovating the kitchen. We have a two-pipe system. We are planning to remove 3 water-based radiators and connect underfloor heating with a push from Uponor to the third. 2 radiators need to be plugged and pipe stubs of about 1.20 to 2.20 m left in the floor. Is it dangerous to leave the pipe stubs since the water cannot circulate in them (stagnant water?)?
Grateful for your opinion.

No, it is not dangerous

Thank you for your response! I believe they are copper pipes, but I can't see the rest of the pipes as they are under the raised floor with chip insulation. Will they not rust and start leaking after a few years? Please see the picture. Best regards

  • Exposed wooden floor joists and plumbing with a visible pipe beneath a partially removed wooden floor, showing renovation progress.
  • Exposed floorboards revealing black pipes beneath wooden subfloor with insulation, against a partially stripped wall.

No, it will not start to rust.
