Hello!
I'm just wondering if anyone has only put single-layer plasterboard on a wall without OSB and other materials behind it?
I'm planning to put up a temporary wall that will be taken down in a few years when the eldest daughter moves out.
I'm looking to do this as cheaply and easily as possible. Has anyone tried this? Or is OSB or double-layer plasterboard a must?
We don't hit the walls at home and are "calm," it should be added, haha.

Most of the interior walls in our house, which we built in the late '90s, have single drywall on 70-wood studs. Many also have insulation, but not all. It works perfectly. You just have to think a little when hanging something heavy, so that you find the studs or use the right fasteners.
Yes, many have tried, and it works just fine. I don't know how it is now, but earlier it was the norm. It's really only when you start hanging heavier things that you notice a difference.H headlam said:Hello!
