Hello!
I'm a new homeowner and the house is currently undergoing a total renovation. I'm a happy amateur but I plan to try doing some things myself.
The house has a rather special construction (see here: https://www.byggahus.se/forum/threads/1970-talsplathuset-fran-junga.228020/ ). After tearing down the old gypsum ceiling, you come directly onto metal (see picture), where the gypsum was screwed. It might sound strange, but read in the other thread if you're wondering what's really going on =)
That is probably a thin MDF board
It will most likely be screwed into the groove on the board. The next board's tongue slides in and hides the screw head.
So the easiest way is probably to screw the new ceiling directly into the metal studs.

so the easiest way is probably to screw the new ceiling directly into the steel studs.
It's not quite clear what material the panel is made of, but it should probably be MDF if it's that thin. Screwing directly into the metal would have been good, avoiding an extra step!
