Our terrace is nailed (by the previous owner at least 10 years ago) with what I believe are stainless grooved nails with a convex head, if I remember correctly they are 75 long. They hold great and I have never had to nail down a single one in the 6 years we've lived here. The picture is taken inside the conservatory but it's nailed both outside and inside.

Edit: It's something similar to this, but I think the head is more rounded

Svenskt trä also recommends ring shank nails if you don't want to use screws, but I wasn't too impressed when I tried "panel nails" on the panel, which is similar, as they completely tore apart everything you needed to pull out. For example, when you realized you placed something wrong and drove the nail halfway in.

Just want to add to this thread that I've had great benefit from using good stainless steel screws. Partly to fix interruptions on deck lights, and partly to fix a ventilation pipe from the basement laundry room that couldn't be foreseen when the deck was built a few years ago.

So incredibly convenient to just disassemble and reassemble as needed, completely without issues. That it may be marginally faster to nail instead of screw during the build might possibly be justified if you're 100% sure that what you've installed will never need to be disassembled.
