Hello,
I have this yellow-marked wall in the kitchen at the vacation house, on the other side of the wall is the open fireplace that will be replaced by a stove. It is the chimney breast.
That's where the old stove and kitchen fan were located, and the new ones will be there as well.
My question is how do I make the wall look nice. I was thinking of having tiles.
Can I screw fireproof plasterboard onto the wall and then tile on it? I've been told that I can't frame the wall because it's a chimney breast.
Grateful for suggestions.

Can I screw fireproof drywall onto the wall and then tile on it? I have heard that I shouldn't frame the wall because it is a chimney.
Grateful for suggestions.
