Metal expansion when installing renovation plasterboard?
Hello!
I'm in the process of renovating the surfaces in the house and have put up 6mm renovation plasterboard on top of single 13mm plasterboard in a room.
Now afterwards, when I've decided I want to put up some shelves, etc., in the room, a metal expander for single plasterboard won't fit, and one for double will be too deep, right?
Or is there somewhere out there an expander for something like around 20mm board thickness? Any other tips on what I can use otherwise? I'm planning to put up a shelf with a rail system from ELFA. Not planning to load it with really heavy stuff. Universal plugs might be an option but don't feel as durable. Of course, I'll try to attach to a wood stud, but good to know for the future too if you plan to put up a shelf or TV or something.
