Probably a dumb question but how do you think having a towel on hand is useful? For what?

One wipes the sweat from the forehead with it.

Ref. to "don't panic!" You can, for example, use a towel to sleep under if you find yourself on the desert planet Kakrafoon, where the stars shine so brightly that it can be hard to sleep without a towel. Or use it as a breathing mask to protect yourself from the poisonous breath of a dangerous animal...

On the other hand, and more importantly, a towel can have an invaluable psychological value...

Maybe not relevant anymore, but otherwise Avonova in Skövde helps with asbestos tests.. :)

Thanks for the info. But as I said, I will demolish as if it were asbestos regardless. It's good to inhale as little dust and mortar as possible even if it's not asbestos. And even if the asbestos test would show positive, I will demolish myself anyway. So I'm spending the money on protection and air purifiers instead.

Passing by Jula to buy an Advantage 200 including P3 filter this afternoon. Called Previa in Skövde but they wouldn't accept it and would instead send to Linköping or Kistad. Decided to skip analysis, even if it is asbestos I will demolish myself and regardless I will handle it with the precaution as if it were asbestos.
Good choice, I think.

Personally, I'm not particularly paranoid about asbestos, for example, I wouldn't hesitate to demolish myself, as you plan to do. But this slightly better mask only cost 250 pix, nothing to fret about for potentially working both safer and more comfortably (better airflow).

A good mask is also always useful to have in the tool arsenal for all kinds of dusty jobs. No dust is directly healthy, at least it's unpleasant.

When you're done, send the filter cartridge as well, and buy a couple of new ones.

Sounds sensible!
I believe, as others have already mentioned in this thread, that for the DIY enthusiast, it's at least as dangerous to inhale stone dust and other junk generated during all types of demolition as it is to get exposed to asbestos on a single occasion.
