Hello!

I need to improve the ventilation in the house and will start by installing more supply air vents. I was thinking of the classic square metal grilles on the outside. Unfortunately, this means that the hole also needs to be square to recess the grille.

The question is how to go about making a square hole. I suspect you can start with an angle grinder, but with that, you won't reach the corners on the inside of the wall, so to speak.

The house has a wooden frame, so it's just the facade that's made of stone material.

Grateful for tips

There must be grids with a back piece that is round, only the front is square.

Yes, it would undoubtedly solve the issue with drilling in an elegant way, I didn't know such things existed, but mexitegel is quite uneven, so I wonder how nice it will look to have it lying on the outside as there will be gaps between the vent and the wall if you look flush with the wall. But perhaps they can only be seen if you know they're there.

Yes. The gaps don't become large. Nothing you will be bothered by or see from a distance.

Then I'll try with a round hole and a square vent.

Thanks for the tips
