I have a sliding door wardrobe where the floor track is glued to the floor, which I now need to replace.
Any tips on how to remove the aluminum track from the floor? Using fishing line to cut it seems like it would take forever.

Assuming you want to keep the rail intact but don't care about the floor, right? Maybe it would work to saw with a multimaster (or Bosch/other copy) in the glue joint and/or the top of the floor. Or saw out a package with rail and "floor piece" and then "split" away as much of the floor piece as possible with a circular saw and then sand/scrape/plane away the rest.
Exactly, I don't care about the floor (laminate). I'll check if a multimaster has a thin enough blade to get in between the floor and the trim. Otherwise, I was considering, as you mentioned, splitting a package and then chipping away the floor or something. But that's quite a job. However, the multimaster was a good tip, I'll check it out!
Perhaps it would work with a really thin (Japanese) saw and hand-cut. I also recall there was a variant of a "field-ready" wire saw, a kind of sharp, jagged wire with two rings at the end. I have no idea if they are good, but they should be able to bite better than fishing line at least. Found a variant here (first Google result, don't know anything about it).
Another option might be to saw off the "package" and soak it for a few days. Never tried it (i.e., avoided water damage d^_^b) but with some luck, perhaps the laminate becomes saturated enough that it becomes easy (easier) to "scrape/whittle/tear" away.
