Funny, our house here has nearly identical construction, the only difference is that it uses concrete beams instead of steel beams and the dimension is much thicker, piled with concrete piles, 40 meters to bedrock. The overhang in my case is 1.5 meters. The dimension of the beams is roughly 750mm x 150mm. Built in '72.

Hello! Trying to see if anyone might be able to help me with this, or at least guide me.

Bought two IPE beams, 160 mm. And I hope it will hold for this construction instead of the columns you see in the picture. Planning to have a beam along the house above the window, and the beam that should be instead of the columns is supposed to load the beam that runs along the facade.

So my question now is, will IPE 160 hold for this? I've become terribly uncertain now.

Best regards
