Hello
I had hoped to remove the wall on the lower floor that adjoins the staircase to create a more open living room, but I can't read construction drawings.
The wall itself is hollow but has a "träbalkpelare" at one end which I suspect may be load-bearing since it is drawn darker and seems to run throughout the house up to the roof ridge.
Grateful if someone could confirm whether the wall can be removed completely or partially by saving the "träbalkpelare"?
See attached drawings.

The drawing is not that old. Can't you call LB-Hus and ask? Is the company still around?
The glued laminated timber pillar that is drawn in CANNOT be removed.

You don't have a construction drawing?

Thanks for the reply! LB-Hus went bankrupt 4 years ago, so I don't know how easily I can get more information from them. The glulam column you mention, is it the one I've drawn in with a red ring in the (new) attached image? In that case, perhaps I can open up the wall itself as long as I keep the glulam column? The wall itself seems to be just single plasterboard with 3 studs separated by 60 cm. On the other hand, the stair railing is screwed into 2 of the studs, so perhaps I need to keep the studs themselves as well?

To me, the circled area looks like some kind of glulam beam. You don't have any other drawing that shows the current area?

I'm not a builder or anything like that, but I have set up many lb houses and all the walls that have numbers and/or the black triangle next to them, just like the wall you are wondering about, are load-bearing! The walls come with plasterboard on one side from the factory (load-bearing) to show which way to turn them. All walls without numbers are erected afterwards and are not load-bearing... And no, they haven't gone bankrupt; at least they have restarted...

I don't think so, it is in the actual customer/resident binder that I found this.
I thought this was the construction drawing... :-)

Can construction drawings be archived at the city planning offices?

They may have started up again but in 2012 this happened: http://www.dn.se/nyheter/sverige/lb-hus-gar-i-konkurs/

Interesting with the black triangle and load-bearing, it would clearly indicate that the section is load-bearing, but possibly it's just the glulam post that is the load-bearing element and then perhaps it's possible to open up the other part which is only drywall and 3 studs?!

It says "LIMTRÄ 90*90" and shows a cross on the other side of the stairs.
Possibly the "double square" you have circled is load-bearing (as egge80 writes) - the rest of that gypsum wall shouldn't be.
