A plastered surface is never homogeneous in color, but you get a certain mottling & can see the "different" fields.Dr Benz said:

Plaster cures from the inside out, so a fan along the wall provides the best function, as the moisture leaves the plaster at the surface layer.
Floor corners tend to dry the slowest because the air doesn't circulate much there, so run the fan a bit extra in the floor corners.
No, I never use any "specific" primer, & b & c usage, you can do the first pass with somewhat diluted silicate paint if you want it to penetrate another mm.
Apply plenty of paint both times when you roll, so the plaster has a chance to "absorb" properly.
What happened with the bench? Betil vattenglas, maybe also some stylish polished plank tiles?
It is still only plastered. Working on tidying around the windows and corners. But the last consideration was actually just to go with silicate and let it wear over time.

After the winter vomiting bug and winter break, we're at it again. First round done with primer (sodium silicate). Really difficult to tape and protect so that it doesn't sneak under the edges as it's like water..
The question that arises is whether it would have helped to paint an extra layer on the bench itself to make it more resistant to potential spills and stains?
Otherwise, I'll proceed with the first coat of paint tomorrow and if there are stains in the future, we'll deal with it then.
We want to avoid the bench becoming a bit more glossy, as it does when using regular wall paint.

I've sanded and polished the countertops.
Put up acoustic panels.
Got the electricity and lights sorted and a few other small things.
Sanded and oiled windows.
Today I painted the plaster inside the fireplace and around the door due to changed plans.
You can start to see the light... Phew...
The bench gets dirty quickly and unfortunately the walls are a bit sensitive. So everything will get another coat of paint. Then there will probably be wax on the bench itself to protect it. Then it will be what it will be.

And for those interested in the results, it turned out like this. We are incredibly pleased. After a few weeks, it has truly become the cozy and grand room we envisioned. In a way, it has been worth the wait, but one also wonders how we managed for two years without a proper dining table.
