I have to ask... I'm going to build a cabin and I'm just wondering how you handle the inside with the 45... Normally it lies down on the inside for the thermal bridge, but we want horizontal paneling on the inside... Do you just set it upright then? Directly against the outer wall's studs, but with just the plastic in between? What/how does it work with the thermal bridge then?

I imagine that you have well enough insulation for it to work that way.

That's how it is at my place with horizontal wooden paneling on the inside, and I don't freeze
(and have low electricity bills).

I have 145 insulation +45 on the inside..

One option is to place vertical battens outside lying 45 insulation and studs. A suitable dimension might be 25x37 mm, but more variations are possible.
