I have torn down a fireplace in the house that was not used and was completely misplaced in the floor plan. Now I plan to add framing to what's left of the chimney and wonder what is recommended for framing.
Is it enough if I set up 4 standing 28*70 battens on which I then put OSB and drywall? I'm thinking of attaching the studs with facade nails.
