I'm looking but can't find any can of foam sealant that can be held upright and sprayed, so it's easy to spray upwards. Any tips?
Tried taping a hose to a regular foam sealant, but eventually, the setup exploded, resulting in foam everywhere, hehe.
I'm lying in a crawl space sealing various holes and joints, just above me.

Have you tried using a foam gun? It's a bit longer and it usually works well to tilt it slightly to the side and point upwards to work on the ceiling...?

So, I have to get the canister far enough from the subfloor that it's really upside-down to spray foam, and with my makeshift hose setup, it didn't want to cooperate. The gun looks way too short, unfortunately.

It's perfectly fine to hold it like this, isn't that enough? There are also extenders designed for this purpose.
Hand holding a foam gun applicator against a ceiling, with hazardous labels visible on the canister.
