I'm going to place foam board between studs and I'm wondering about the reasoning behind the measurements. A standard size for studs is, for example, 45x95mm, and the corresponding thickness for foam board seems to be 100mm. So the foam board will stick up a bit. Should I switch to 45x70 studs which have corresponding foam board with a thickness of 70mm?

Cellplast is not suited for studs as they are not normally used there. Compressing is probably impossible so if I were facing your problem, I would probably split the studs to fit the cellplast.
Okay, I understand, I thought it was "standard sizes"
It will be placed on top of a concrete floor in a garage. Then I'll go with double 50mm. Thanks.
I drew a bit in paint and hope you understand. If there is something I plan to do wrong, I would really appreciate if you tell meuseless said:

Even with a moisture barrier at the bottom? How do I avoid that? Should there be another material instead of wooden beams?Anna_H said:

Checked out this construction: https://bewi.com/sv/produkt-kategori/anvandningsomraden/konstruktioner/golv/
Do you think that a construction film is enough instead of an expensive moisture barrier?
