Just to clarify: 120 in this case refers to how many minutes something should withstand fire. Each apartment is a fire cell, meaning it should be able to burn in one apartment for two hours before spreading to another. EI 120 is, simply put, a collection of methods on how to construct something to meet that requirement.

So if one says that a wall meets "EI 30," it can be constructed in several different ways with various layers of material, but the idea is that it should be able to burn on one side of that wall for 30 minutes before the fire spreads. Kind of.

A shaft that runs between apartments, especially upwards, is of course a particularly critical point since the hot fire tends to seek upwards in what becomes a chimney.

Thanks for all the information, it seems like it would be best if I contact the föreningen and ask them what they think should be done and what type of skiva is acceptable to use so there won't be any trouble later.

They probably have no idea about this.
Can't you put back the old board and leave it as it was?

It's split in the middle, can I put it back regardless? In two parts then, I mean.

Aha.
I myself would at least be tempted to do so regardless of what any possible rule says.

The tricky part is that you have probably broken a fire compartment. In multi-family houses, I wouldn't be so surprised if IE120 is required.

Can't you put everything back and drywall the wall?
Ei 60 is usually between apartments in multi-family houses.

No

That's wise of you. Each apartment in a multi-residential building is normally its own fire compartment. The idea is that if a fire starts in your place, the fire should not be able to spread further within a calculated time frame. Usually 60 minutes simply explained.

Therefore, I think it's responsible of you to contact the board and agree on what to do. Now I suspect that it is cast in the pipe shaft between the floors, so most likely it suffices to replace your old board with a simple plasterboard or, for instance, a Cemerit board if one feels like it.
