So you are talking about two straight flights of stairs with opposite directions and a landing in between? A simple solution that can become quite stylish. If you can anchor the landing to the wall on two sides, you will need a post to support the free corner. In the front edge of the landing between the post and the wall, a load-bearing beam of at least 45x120 is needed, if we are talking about flights of stairs and a landing that are 90 cm wide.

Thank you.
The treads are made of oak, purchased from a local sawmill, 35 mm thickness, planed, sanded, oiled, done:D.

What did you pay for them? I'm considering cutting bench tops in oak.

;) Life should be easy, good luck and come back when the staircase is finished with pictures of how it turned out.

Barely dare to tell, if you don't tell anyone else then, 2500:-

But that's okay for solid stair treads. I think mine will end up at 4-5k which I consider reasonable when you think about what an ordered staircase costs :)

Hi,

bumping this thread a bit with an off-topic question:

The dimensions in my staircase will slightly differ between the part below and above the landing (it's two straight flights of stairs). There's a small difference in slope and tread depth. The riser height is the same. What's most important to make as uniform as possible? Slope, tread depth, or riser height? Riser height, right?

The same step height is most important. Stairs with varying step heights are hopeless to walk on.

Nice solution for stairs.
Reconsidering and thinking about building my own now.
What is the dimension of your stringers and how did you attach the treads?

A bit uncertain but I believe it was 45x245.
Can get back to you if you're interested.
