Hello!

I tried plastering our chimney today with mixed results. I'm quite satisfied with the outcome and the plaster seems to be holding, but I made a significant misjudgment regarding how much mortar is needed. I quickly realized that I had far too little, and now I'm wondering if I need to knock down what I've already applied or if I can just continue? What about the slurry that I've already thrown on, is it okay to let it dry and then plaster as usual on top of it? I thought (hopefully not!!!) that you have to do it "wet-on-wet" so to speak.

Thanks for the response!

Best regards,
Emil

nah then. you can slam in one day. then the next day soak and polish.
it also works to wait longer.

NICE! Thank you!
