Hi, I'm trying to eliminate creaking from floor particle boards. I've screwed them at 10cm intervals. But the creak remains, and it's not at the joists but rather at the seam between the particle board panels, between the joists. Does anyone have any tips on how to get rid of this creaking?

In my view, it's a matter of the boards "rubbing" against each other. So either I need to cut into it and possibly reinforce with a joist between the joists and screw it down, or perhaps run a saw through the seam to create space between them?

Does anyone have a good idea on how I can remove this "creak" in the easiest, best way?

Have you glued the skivorna?

This is a house from '72 that we bought a year ago, so I don't know if it's glued. They were nailed at least, which is why I fastened them with screws.

Ok, I thought it was recently laid. Do not saw in the joints, as you will lose bearing there. I believe the problem is due to it not being glued in the joints, which allows movement and causes the noise as you describe.

Yes, I thought I had read somewhere that the bearing capacity was there. Too bad, otherwise that would have been an easy option.
