I've had a company plaster my basement walls on the inside. Now I see a crack, as thick as a hair and half a meter long. There is a hollow sound behind it. Should I leave it as it is or should they fix it?

Cracking can be normal, it all depends on the type of substrate and for example if there were movements before, if it was reinforced, etc. However, you should not have a hollow sound and even if you have a thin crack, the plaster should have good adhesion to the substrate, so you should get an opinion about it.

And as usual, a few pictures never hurt, especially if you have before the work, during the work, and the final result.

Is it also painted?

Will fix pictures when I get home, in four days. I've paid a company a lot of money to polish the basement so that's why I'm asking the question. But do you think I can call the company directly since booming sounds are not okay?

Make a complaint and then let them redo it.

Hi! I have exactly the same question. How did it go for you? Did they redo it or how did you proceed?

The original poster will not answer you, as they no longer have their profile. They may have gotten a new one and happened to see this, but probably not. However, I think you can still get help. Have you also had craftsmen? Then a crack and hollow sound?
