Hi!

I'm really bad at explaining things, but I'll do my best :)

We ran out of space at home when child no.2 arrived. So we decided to convert the terrace we weren't using into an insulated room which is now part of the house.

The tricky part is that it looks like this (viewed from above):

Where "----------" is the house wall and "X" are cemented pillars in asbestos pipes (square).

Between the pillars on the long side, there is a 100x200 beam resting, as well as against the outer wall. I guess those are two load-bearing beams? :)

On top of them, there are 45x195 joists at 60 cm intervals in the opposite direction (from the house wall and out).

From the pillar on the bottom left to the one on the bottom right, it's about 4 meters. From the pillars from the house wall out, it's about two meters.

Viewed from above, the pillars have settled or something; before construction started the slope was less than 0.5cm per meter. Now it's 3cm per meter. Everything slopes down to the right viewed from above. There is also a slope of 1.5cm from the house wall outwards.

The pillars against the house wall are cemented into the house.

The height of the pillars is 1.20m ... The load-bearing beams rest on these pillars then...

Now that everything is framed, the plasterboard is on, the ceiling is arranged, the room is furnished, etc., it's not sturdy at all. I'm really worried that the whole thing will collapse or something...

Therefore, I'm considering casting down two pillars/posts in the middle, attaching another load-bearing beam and a few more joists, so it should become extra stable as shown below: ?

I don't know how to explain... But the pillars have been there since 1953 and I assume they aren't moving... However, I'm uncertain if they can handle the load...

The construction isn't attached to the house either, except for the innermost pillars that are concreted at the base into the house foundation.

I don't think I have the full knowledge to help you with this, but I can at least ask some supplementary questions that, once answered, might allow someone else to draw some wise conclusions.

What are the plinths standing on? What is the cross-section size of the existing pillars? How do they look at the base, are they wider there? How did you plan to anchor your new plinths in/on the ground?

(For next time, please write your question in the title or earlier in the text. You have to read very far before you understand what this is about, which may be a reason why no one has answered yet.)
 
If the slope has increased by that much, it's a pretty clear sign that something is wrong. The plinths are designed for a deck, and now there's a house on them... You could almost have guessed that there would be problems.
