Channel plastic (40-50mm) as garage roof?

Hi! I currently have a garage (4x8m) with a flat roof that needs renovation. The roof insulation means the ceiling height is at most 2.10m in some places. I'm considering switching to a pitched roof and covering it with polycarbonate (winter garden type) to raise the roof by 40-50cm, avoid insulation, and get more light... in the same way as when building a conservatory/winter garden.)
I would appreciate your opinions
Could there be problems with insulation? Cost? Lifespan?

They build orangeries and greenhouses that way, so there shouldn't be any problems. It does get expensive, though.

I'm considering changing to a sloped roof and covering it with multi-wall polycarbonate (winter garden type) to raise the roof by 40-50cm, eliminate insulation, and get more light... the same way as when building a patio/winter garden.
I would appreciate your opinions
Could there be problems with the insulation? Cost? Lifespan?

Did you do it in multi-wall polycarbonate? Do you have pictures, I have the same thoughts!
