What do you install first when you have a sloped ceiling (45 degrees), the ceiling panel (raw wood) or the wall drywall? We would prefer to avoid ceiling molding. I imagine that if you install the wall drywall first, it will look nicer, but maybe it's easier to do the opposite?

A similar question is how to handle an exterior corner with paneling on one side and drywall on the other? In the roof dormer, we will have this exact issue. Do you let the paneling overlap the drywall or vice versa, and is there a way to avoid a corner trim?

If by råspont you mean the surface on the ceiling panel, I would do it like this.

Install the gypsum first, then cut the first ceiling panel at about 50 degrees so you get a tight seam.

Regarding paneling against gypsum, if you want to fiddle a bit, you can miter the paneling at 45 degrees, then glue on a small 45-degree miter piece, finishing with a flexible sealant against the gypsum. A lot of fiddling but it works.

Yes, we are thinking of using råspont but with the planed side facing down. I don't quite understand what you mean by cutting the first panel at 50 degrees, first from where? 50 degrees in relation to what? Using mitered pieces feels more than fiddly, rather no chance but you are probably right that it works.

It depends on what direction you want to have the roof panel, but he probably envisioned that you should have it across the roof slope (or in other words parallel to the ridge) and that you then bevel the board that is supposed to sit at the bottom where the sloping roof meets the wall, so that it gets a pointed edge that fits against the wall without leaving a gap. To ensure the fit is good, you bevel to an angle slightly "sharper" than the roof angle. If you tilt the blade on a table saw 50 degrees from its normal 90 degrees, the board's edge becomes 40 degrees, which is slightly sharper than 45.

You can let the last panel go past the drywall and stick out 5-10 mm, similar to how many home builders handle window recesses that shouldn't have trim, if you understand what I mean. Let the drywall go up to it but leave a few mm before the paneling and use a soft joint to absorb any movement that may occur. Then bring the wallpaper or fabric up to the panel or paint.
 
barajag and Farzan, it was actually not the transition wall on the long side and the roof I was thinking of but the transition gable wall-roof, gypsum or panel first there?

Ola78, it's a perfectly conceivable solution but does it look good when you see all the short ends on the panel?

Aha.

I would have put the gypsum first, then the panel against it, the panel is much more durable.
