How to connect a pitched roof, (storage) to a garage.

Normally, a sheet is allowed to go from the inside of the panel on the garage and connect under the roofing on the sloping roof so that the joint becomes waterproof and durable over time.

Okay, should the sheet be under the plywood, or is it enough to have it behind the panel (seal between the panel and plywood?)?
