And for those of you who like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Douglas Adams has written an even better book called Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. In it lies the solution.
42? or maybe 43?

how often do you have such wide openable windows
Well.. All but one window in the current house are wider.
And when I think about previous houses, there have always been at least two that were larger.

Edit.. By the way, H-windows can almost always be unhooked.. which means it's enough if the diagonal is >120 and a bit more.

Have exactly the same problem in our stairs. 120 cm impossible to get up no matter how you do it even though the handle was removed. The first time the problem arose, we took the bed up and down via the balcony, really hard work even with tie-down straps. The balcony is now glazed and completely renovated so not an option. The second time we had to go with a 105 bed, it just fit without removing the railing.

It simply won't without being sawed apart. It will not leave the house again :)

Had the same problem with my son's bed, managed to solve it with a couple of sturdy tension straps around the bed (lengthwise and squeezed the mattress so it became narrower/less thick) then got it up.

Can't get the 120/200 bed up the stairs, the post in the way is load-bearing and goes down to the floor. My idea is to saw the post diagonally and then screw the thing together. Just need to find a good saw
What do you think?
I've now sawed the stairs apart, the bed is up. Now let's have a cold beer. Thanks everyone for the advice/tips.

We arranged a lift-in of a 160cm bed on the second floor with a wheel loader. It cost a cake. Straight in through the big windows.
