Ok, it's a two-person job, the lower end almost needs to be on the floor at the start and the one going up needs to lean forward if he's ahead of his end of the bed. Then it might be good to have the mattress side against the post so you can press a bit against it without making marks..

Just relax - building a house will try to talk up the bed for the stairs, at least try. 😁
Sad to have to saw apart the railing. If you take on that operation, it might be a good idea to thoroughly change the railing's construction so the lower part can be dismantled in the future. Sometimes it's simply not possible to get furniture up.
