We are going to extend a small wall section; today it is about 20 cm, and we are going to extend it by about 30 cm. How should we do it? Our thoughts are around placing a stud in the ceiling and floor and in the existing wall section and where the wall should end, and then placing drywall "around." The wall should be 10 cm thick; should we use a 70-stud and drywall that is 13 thick? Then there would be 2 mm missing on each side that might be filled with spackle? Is there a better way?

A slightly better way is to set the rule so that the entire "error" ends up on one side, and then add 3mm masonite on the studs on that side before you plaster, then it will only be a 1mm error that you need to fill.

Oh, what a quick and good response! :)
That sounds like a good idea. Then we'll purchase reglar, drywall, and masonite! (I wonder if you can get hold of such small pieces or if you're forced to buy laaaaarge sheets of everything....

The job might already be done, but wouldn't it be easiest to remove the 20 cm wall and start over? You have to buy whole boards anyway!
