Planning to extend an existing wall with beadboard in a room without ceiling moldings (but the beadboard wall should have a ceiling molding). I'm considering using those 600 panels to make it easier for me (to be attached to the existing concrete wall). From what I can gather, you want a gap of about 10-20mm in each corner. I understand ceiling and floor moldings, but how do you best connect to the wall? I think a flexible corner molding could work, but then I'm wondering how you manage at the top if there are no ceiling moldings on the adjoining walls. Do you then cut the flexible molding at two levels so it goes all the way up on the adjoining wall and only to the ceiling molding on the beadboard wall?

Or can you have the ceiling molding on the walls too and get the connection to the ceiling better?

Or is there another method I've completely missed? Is it possible to go fully up to the walls, or is there a risk of it cracking when it moves? (A concrete wall between two other walls, about 4m wide)

Have a nice evening!

Hi, how did you finally solve your problem? I'm trying to figure out how to finish the beadboard at an outer corner. On the other side of the corner, there will be wallpaper.
Thanks!

Hello Beeam,
We ended up wallpapering that wall as well. In our case, we mostly dropped it because we felt the effect was too small since we have a larger double door in the wall, and molding would also be needed there. Now, I'm no expert, but for my part, I would have leaned towards framing the whole thing with trim. But it would have been interesting if someone with real experience in this could share their insights😀
