Horizontal OSB and vertical drywall is what I was thinking for the exterior wall, since I'm adding insulation with a horizontal 45 there. Maybe I should just do the same on the interior walls too. Thanks for the thought!
 
What you should keep in mind is to have a few mm gap between each OSB/plywood sheet. So the boards can move freely. Some do it, others don't. But I think you should. I usually place a piece of cardboard as spacing between each sheet.
